THE FACULTY OF LAW - NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY HELD THE 4TH MOCK TRIAL AND SIGN COOPERATION WITH LAW COMPANY LIMITED DU & PARTNERS

In response to Vietnam Law Day, Traditional Student Day, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Nam Can Tho University, on the morning of January 10, 2023, at Hall E2 – The Faculty of Law, Nam Can Tho University held a court session assumption. This is an annual activity that is very interesting and responded by students of Law and Economic Law at the University.

A court session assumption is an intuitive, vivid, and profoundly meaningful learning model. It is a place to help law students absorb law content easily understand and remember; help students improve their practical skills, test and handle tasks, practice professional skills, and provide an environment for learning and exchanging experiences with experts in the field of law

The program was attended by Ms. Chau Thi Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Justice of Can Tho City; Ms. Pham Thi Hong Ngoc - Procurator, People's Procuracy of Can Tho City; MSc Pham Hong Du - Director of Du Law Firm and Associates; Judge Van Hung - People's Court of Ninh Kieu District and leaders of Nam Can Tho University, including Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Duy Huan - Vice Rector of the University; MSc Nguyen Van Linh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Information Technology; MSc. Tran Trung Chuyen - Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics; MSc. Nguyen Chi Dung - Vice Dean of Law Faculty together with leaders of departments and faculties at Can Tho University and nearly 500 students of Law and Economic Law attended.

At the mock trial, legal events are assumed to be realistically simulated from content to form. The students will act as the proceedings, participating in the proceedings as well as related parties to conduct the survey of the hypothetical task that has been handled. This requires you to embrace the legal knowledge you have learned and be skilled and flexible in handling the circumstances of the case. Know how to apply learned knowledge to troubleshooting, and professional handling in accordance with the law. The version took place through the interrogation, defense of lawyers as well as other adjudication processes which were performed very seriously, in the right order, and effectively by the students, helping the attendees to have a feeling of sincerity. It's like watching a professional trial.

Not only stopping at "theatricalization" of cases and legal situations. The mock trial is also an opportunity for students to confidently disseminate legal content to viewers, practice their agility in handling legal cases legal reasoning.

On the same day, there was also a signing ceremony of cooperation between the Faculty of Law, Nam Can Tho University and Du & Partners Law Firm, aiming to improve the quality of law teaching. Students of this group will be supported by lawyers from the Law Firm to impart knowledge and practice skills during their studies as well as create conditions for students to practice and work after graduation.

On this occasion, Du & Partners Law firm also awarded scholarships to students majoring in Law and Economic Law who had difficult circumstances but had good academic achievements and tried their best to print
