The ceremony to receive the certificate of merit from the Prime Minister and launch the English website

DNC – In order to honor and praise the achievements of the University and two individuals in the past, On April 27, 2023, at Hall E2 - Nam Can Tho University held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and at the same time launched the English website.

At the ceremony, the University and two individuals with outstanding achievements were honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This is a milestone marking the University of Nam Can Tho's positive contributions to scientific research and human resource training for Can Tho city in particular and the provinces in the Mekong Delta region in general, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Country.

Over the course of 10 years of construction and development, the DNC has affirmed its position and important role as a teaching and scientific research unit in the university, contributing to the development of the university's brand name. The ceremony is an opportunity for generations of lecturers to meet, share, and educate about the unit's traditions, increase motivation to successfully carry out the professional tasks of the University, contribute to the effective implementation of the political tasks, and build a growing training system.

Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong – a Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Mr. Huynh Hoang Men – a Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Can Tho, together with leaders of higher education institutions, colleges, medical units, and former leaders of departments, districts of Can Tho City. On behalf of Nam Can Tho University, there was the presence of Dr.-Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung - Chairman of the University Council; Labor Hero. People’s Teacher. Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan – Rector emeritus of the University; Dr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University.

Also on this occasion, in order to expand international cooperation in the fields of education, training, and applied scientific research for both lecturers and students, Nam Can Tho University officially launched the English version of the DNC's website at https://en.nctu.edu.vn/. Putting the English website into operation is the next step in the process of innovating, perfecting, and developing the website in order to increase convenience for customers and support partners, especially foreign partners, in accessing and searching for information about Nam Can Tho University.

In the context of fierce media competition today and the impact of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, the launch of the DNC English website is an important bridge in the cause of extensive international integration of Nam Can Tho University. This is the official information channel of the DNC. The website will accurately and timely publish information about activities, events, outstanding programs, etc. for readers. Timely and accurate translation of information from the Vietnamese website to the English version of the website. Hopefully, it will continue to be a communication channel that is loved and supported by readers in the future.

The year 2023 is a memorable milestone for Nam Can Tho University, with 10 years of construction and development. From now on, DNC officially enters a new journey, reaching a higher goal in the future and gradually building the university stronger. The Rectorate and the collective of the University are determined to join hands to make continuous efforts to make DNC more and more developed, becoming a center for training high-quality human resources for the domestic and regional labor markets.
