Thanhnien.vn: A university constructs an eco-tourism area for students to practice
Nam Can Tho University has just inaugurated the Ecotourism Practice Area - DNC Resort to serve practices for students.
On January 25th, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) held an inauguration ceremony for the Ecotourism Practice Area - DNC Resort. The project is located in An Binh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City, and covers an area of over 25,000 m2, providing students with practical experience. In the future, the practice area will be expanded to accommodate visitors to DNC and will also include medical services at Nam Can Tho University Hospital.

On the evening of January 25th, the DNC celebrated its 11th anniversary (January 25th, 2013 - January 25th, 2024). Dr. Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of the DNC Council, stated that after 11 years of growth and progress, the DNC has established a stable operating system and has made significant investments in spacious facilities, modern equipment, practice laboratories, electronic libraries, computer rooms, and teaching and learning materials to support the education and scientific research of over 22,000 students.

Recently, more than 10,000 graduates from the DNC have made significant contributions to the workforce in various provinces and cities. DNC currently offers 44 undergraduate majors, six master's programs, and one doctoral program.
In 2023, DNC received a certificate of accreditation from the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (Hanoi National University) for meeting educational quality standards in Cycle 2. Furthermore, they were awarded accreditation for eleven regular undergraduate training programs and one Master's training program.

According to Dr. Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung, construction for phase 2 of Nam Can Tho University Hospital (a 20-storey building) is set to begin in the third quarter of 2024. The estimated investment cost for this project is approximately 1,200 billion VND, with an expected completion date of 2027.
