PARTY COMMITTEE OF NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY

1. INTRODUCTION

The Party Committee of Nam Can Tho University (the University Party Committee) was established under Decision No. 50-QĐ/QU dated 22/10/2020 of the Standing Board of Ninh Kieu District Party Committee. The predecessor of the University's Party Committee was the Nam Can Tho University Branch, which was established under Decision No. 517-QĐ/ĐUK dated 24/4/2014 of Party committees of administrative agencies of Can Tho City.

The Party Committee of Nam Can Tho University is a party organization belonging to a private university unit and a non-public unit, so the mechanism is to coordinate or combine the performance of the task. The University Party Committee in the 2020-2025 term consists of 9 comrades (Secretary, 1 Deputy Secretary, and 7 members of the Executive Committee), the Secretary of the University Party Committee is Mr. Nguyen Van Quang. - Principal of the Nam Can Tho University. The Party Committee of the University has 3 affiliated branches, which are the Branch of Officers - Experts, the Branch of Teachers, and the Branch of Students, with different missions and tasks, in which the Branch of Students has the largest number of party members. The number of party members fluctuates greatly because the party members are students who move and move in quite a lot every year.

2. MISSION AND TASKS

The collective Party Committee of Nam Can Tho University performs the task:

1. Implementing, thoroughly grasping, and organizing the implementation of the Party's guidelines and guidelines, the State's policies and laws;

2. Formulating resolutions, and promulgating decisions of the University Party Committee in order to lead and direct the to implement resolutions, directives, and conclusions of superiors;

3. Leading the implementation of political and ideological education for teachers, staff, and students of the University;

4. Implementing topics to improve the quality of life of the Party cell in the entire Party Committee of the University and widely implementing the Resolution of the XIII Congress of the Party in the entire Party Committee of the University.

3. ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The 2nd Party Congress of Nam Can Tho University, for the 2020-2025 term, was elected leader of the Nam Can Tho University Party Committee and the University Party Committee Inspection Committee. The congress elected Mr. Nguyen Van Quang – the Rector of the University as the Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, elected a deputy secretary, and 7 members of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University for the term 2020 - 2025. The organizational structure of the Party Executive Committee of the University includes:

1. The Secretary of the School's Party Committee in charge of propaganda work;

2. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the University;

3. Party members are in charge of organizational work and party members are in charge of cell branches directly under the Party Committee of the University.

4. ACHIEVEMENTS

From the beginning of the term until now, the Party Committee of the University has developed 41 party members. The Party Committee of the University has decided to issue the working regulations of the Party Committee of Nam Can Tho University - Term 2020 - 2025. The Party Committee of the University has well-implemented the documents of the Party Committee of Ninh Kieu District and guiding documents.

The work of disseminating, propagating, and educating to raise awareness of the Party's ideological foundation is concerned by the Party Committee of the University, through two forms of implementation:

1. Disseminating propaganda and educating Party members at regular meetings.

2. Educating students through teaching political science modules among students.

As a result, 100% of the University's students were able to study Political Science. The Party Committee of the University always strengthens the education of teachers and students to use the Internet and social networks to serve learning, teaching, and information. In recent times, the School has not committed any violations of the law on using the Internet.

Regarding the inspection and supervision work in the Party, from the beginning of the term until now, the Party Committee of the University has carried out many inspections and supervision:

1. Organized symposiums on the work of inspection and supervision in the Party committees at all levels.

2. The Party Committee of the University well-implemented the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (term XII) on “Strengthening Party building and rectification, prevent and reverse the deterioration of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and internal "self-evolution".

3. Regularly implement Resolution- 4 in association with Directive 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style" (Directive 05).

Through the report, party members in the branch give comments on the report, and Party members recognize and draw experience for themselves. The Party Committee of the University disseminates to each party member thematic documents on "Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style" according to the annual theme.

Recently, the branches have well-completed the work of the Party cell congress for the term 2022 - 2025. The Party Committee of the University has performed well in its role as an organization of political and ideological education for officials, party members, and students. Operation results from 2014 to now are as follows:

1. From 2014 to 2019, the branch has achieved achievements in successfully completing its tasks;

2. 2020 is the first year of the establishment of the Party Committee of Nam Can Tho University, there are still many difficulties, so the achievement in 2020 is to complete the task.

3. In 2021, the Party Committee of the University has successfully completed its tasks.

5. DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION

During the remaining period of the term 2020 - 2025, the Party Committee of the University will lead and direct the affiliated branches to continue to perform the following tasks well:

1. To well implement the resolutions, directives, and documents of the Party. and superiors;

2. Continue to well implement the Central Committee's Resolution-4 and Directive 05 of the Party, associated with self-criticism and criticism activities of party members;

3. Maintain the achievements in law propagation and dissemination for officials, party members, and students;

4. Raise political consciousness and ideology, prevent and reverse the deterioration of political ideology in the cell branches;

5. Consolidating and consolidating affiliated Party cells to ensure adequate structure and bravery of the Party committees in administering and performing their tasks;

6. Continue to develop party members, especially among students;

7. Continue to maintain the achievements of the Party Committee in successfully completing its tasks in the new situation.
