NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY WELCOMES MORE THAN 6,000 NEW STUDENTS

(NLĐO) - On September 22, Nam Can Tho University held the opening ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year and welcomed more than 6,000 new students.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the university achieved many remarkable results in all fields, creating a solid foundation for a new stage of development. The university's faculty, staff, and management team have developed in both quantity and quality.

As a result of the enrollment in 2023, the university has enrolled more than 6,000 new students, bringing the total number of students at the university to more than 23,500. These students are studying in forty-one majors at the undergraduate level, six master's degree majors, and one doctoral degree major.

In addition, Nam Can Tho University has also cooperated with the Malaysian University of Science and Technology (MUST) to train international bachelor’s degree students in business administration at the university and in Malaysia. The university has been granted permission by the Ministry of Education and Training to train two new majors: Dentomaxillofacial and Preventive Medicine.

The university implements links and cooperation with Japan, the United States, Malaysia, New Zealand, Korea, and the Philippines in the form of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in areas such as the exchange of scientific documents, communication and cooperation between lecturers and students, organizing short-term courses, international conferences, and coordinating to implement common research topics.

With the desire to train high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region in particular and the country in general, Nam Can Tho University has implemented a methodical and in-depth investment strategy, including the construction and development of an "enterprise in university" model.
