Nam Can Tho University has been awarded two certificates of quality accreditation of education and ranking comparison by the Center for Quality Assessment of Education - Hanoi National University and the Institute of Innovation and Creativity UPM. The certificates recognize the university’s excellence in training, research and innovation in Vietnam and internationally.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University:

“Achieving these two certificates has affirmed the quality and prestige of the school in training high-quality human resources, scientific research and technology transfer. After more than 10 years of construction and development, Nam Can Tho University has stabilized its operation and invested in facilities, equipment, laboratory practice rooms, electronic library, computer room, teaching materials modern learning to serve training and scientific research in the 4.0 era.”

The school has been evaluated by the Ministry of Education and Training as a school with spacious facilities, modern equipment, green - clean - beautiful campus outstanding in the Mekong Delta; has a team of lecturers and staff, managers developing both in quantity and quality with an increasingly reasonable structure.

To date, the school has recruited 10 courses, training more than 19,000 students and students of more than 40 majors. Over 8,000 people have graduated with master’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, engineers, of which over 95% have jobs.

Regarding international cooperation, the school is linking and cooperating with many institutes and schools from the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Korea, Philippines… in teaching and scientific research. The school also cooperated with Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) to train business administration majors for 4 courses.

In particular, Nam Can Tho University pioneered the model of “Enterprise in university” - a topic that the school co-organized a workshop with Saigon Economic Magazine on July 30-2020. Specifically, the school established enterprises such as Nam Mien Nam Group, Nam Can Tho University Hospital Co., Ltd., Nam Can Tho DNC Trading Co., Ltd., Institute of Research and Development of Medicinal Materials, Center for Development and Application Software DNC , Institute for Research - Training in Health Science DNC. This model is serving the needs of practice - internship for students, contributing to improving skills, improving skills and also a place to receive students to work after graduation.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Quang:

“Quality accreditation of education is the basis for improving the quality of training of the school, ensuring the rights of learners, cooperation and investment in education and training in the current competitive education environment, towards making Nam Can Tho University one of the prestigious schools in the region and internationally. The goal is that by 2027, Nam Can Tho University will accredit 100% of its training programs.”
