NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED THE LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF THE YOUTH VOLUNTEER CAMPAIGN FOR THE SUMMER OF 2023

On June 6, 2023, Nam Can Tho University held the Launching ceremony of the Youth Volunteer Campaign for the Summer of 2023 with more than 400 students and youth union members registering to volunteer at many locations from the remote border to the sea regions, and difficult communes in Can Tho City and provinces of Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, and An Giang.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Lam Van Tan, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Can Tho City; Mr. Dao Cong Nhat, Member of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union, Head of the School's Youth Department, Chief of Office of the Vietnam Student Association of Can Tho City.

On the side of Nam Can Tho University was the attendance of Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the university; Mr. Nguyen Chi Thang (MSc), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Basic Sciences; Mr. Mai Viet Ut, Party Member, Head of the Department of Political and Student Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Nhat Truong (MSc), Party member, Director of the Student Support and Business Cooperation Center, Secretary of the Youth Union; Mrs. To Thi Ngoc Tram (MSc), Deputy Head of the Office of Admission and Communication, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, President of the Student Association of the University.

The Youth Volunteer Campaign for the Summer of 2023 will be implemented from July 1 to July 30, 2023. This campaign is the first year to implement new policies according to the resolution of the 12^th National Youth Union Congress with many new points especially the "3 links" undertakings to create sustainability for the projects and works of young volunteers to share with the community.

Opening the Launching ceremony was a lively and exciting musical performance from volunteer soldiers in blue shirts. Speaking at the ceremony Mrs. To Thi Ngoc Tram (MSc) reported on the preparation of the campaign and expressed her determination to do a successful campaign, a true Green Summer. Finally, Mrs. To Thi Ngoc Tram expressed her sincere gratitude to the University Council, the Board of Rectors, the localities, and sponsors in the journey of spreading happiness to society.

Closing the ceremony and marking the meaningful beginning of the Green Summer volunteer journey 2023. Hopefully, more than 400 soldiers in this year's Green Summer 2023 will be "Strong and tough", with bravery and enthusiasm to overcome their own limits and fulfill their assigned tasks, promoting the impulsive spirit of Vietnamese youth for the life of the community.
