DNC – In order to promote international cooperation and improve scientific research capacity as well as create opportunities to exchange, learn, and share knowledge and experiences in the medical field for students and graduate students in health majors. Nam Can Tho University and Nam Can Tho University Hospital jointly held the International Cardiology Conference with the theme "Optimizing The Management Of Cardiovascular Disease In The Modern Era". ” – The workshop took place on May 7, 2022.
Facing the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic requires us to have new and appropriate research approaches and methods in the treatment and health care of patients with cardiovascular disease. This is a matter of practical concern and puts great pressure on world medicine. Recognizing the necessity and importance of cardiovascular disease, Nam Can Tho University, and Nam Can Tho University Hospital organized an international scientific conference with the theme Optimizing The Management Of Cardiovascular Disease In The Modern Era. Workshop took place on May 7, 2022.

Attending the workshop was a large number of guests from Nam Can Tho University, Nam Can Tho University Hospital, representatives of international universities and hospitals, representatives of Medical Associations in Vietnam and internationally, and representatives of the leaders of Can Tho City and universities throughout the country.

The conference was chaired by the leading physicians and medical experts in the country and internationally: Prof. Dr. Dang Van Phuoc - Chairman of the Vietnam Heart Association; Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen - Interventional Cardiologist at American Methodist Hospital; Prof. Dr. Hoang Duc Thanh major in Endocrinology, Graduate Program Director, Walter Reed National Military Hospital USA; Assoc. Dr. Ho Thuong Dung - Chairman of the Vietnam Interventional Cardiology Association; Assoc. Dr. Tran Van Huy - Vice President of Vietnam Hypertension Association; Assoc. Dr. Phillip Tran – Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council and Senior Advisor at Nam Can Tho University and Nam Can Tho University Hospital, Doctor of Invasive Cardiology at Dignity Healthy Hospital, Yavapai Regional Medical Center; Dr. Ngo Minh Hung – Vice Chairman of Medical Advisory Council of Can Tho University Hospital; Prof. Dr. Andrew Murray – Structural Cardiology in Winter Haven Hospital USA; Dr. Do Van Buu Dan - Electrophysiology specialist, General Director, Head of Cardiology Department of Tam Duc Heart Hospital.

The workshop was divided into 5 reporting sessions with the following contents: Session 01 reported on General Cardiovascular content; Session 02 reports on the content of Interventional Cardiovascular; Session 03 reported on the Arrhythmia content (Cardiac Arrhythmia); Session 04 reported on the content of Cardiovascular Disease and Covid-19 (Cardiovascular Disease and Covid-19), and Session 05 reported on the content of the Scientific Research Contest and Poster Presentation. The sessions were prepared and presented by leading doctors and medical experts in Cardiology generally and Interventional Cardiology in particular.
