Nam Can Tho University and Viettel Sign Cooperation Agreement

A strategic partnership to promote scientific research, training and development in the Mekong Delta region.

Nam Can Tho University (DNC) and Military Telecom Corporation (Viettel) have signed a cooperation agreement to exchange experience and expertise in the fields of telecommunications services, high-tech production, postal services, construction, trade and import-export.

The signing ceremony took place on June 7th, 2023 at the DNC campus, with the presence of Dr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of DNC; Mr. Huynh Trung Kien – Lieutenant Colonel of Vietnamese Military Industry and Viettel Group representative.

The cooperation agreement aims to enhance the quality of training and scientific research at DNC, as well as to support the economic and social development strategy of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.

The main contents of the cooperation agreement

According to the cooperation agreement, DNC and Viettel will collaborate in the following areas:

• Improving professional qualifications and capacity for both sides’ officials and employees through training courses, workshops and seminars.
• Organizing forums, conferences and events on topics related to telecommunications services, high-tech production, postal services, construction, trade and import-export.
• Supporting digital transformation at DNC by providing technical solutions, equipment and infrastructure. Implement technical solutions to quickly provide 5G coverage for the University.
• Supporting internships for students majoring in technology, engineering, economics and finance who are studying at DNC and prioritizing accepting graduates to work at Viettel.
