More than 2,600 students from Nam Can Tho University received their diplomas

(NSMT) - Nam Can Tho University (DNC) held a Graduation Ceremony for 2,629 students from full-time, transfer, and part-time classes at the university level who were recognized to graduate in 2023.

At the graduation ceremony, the university awarded diplomas to 2,629 new engineers, bachelors, pharmacists, and architects. Of these, 23 students achieved excellent grades (accounting for 0.87%), 624 students achieved very good grades (accounting for 23.74%), 1,438 students achieved good grades (accounting for 54.70%), 538 students achieved average good grades (accounting for 20.46%), and 6 students achieved ordinary grades (accounting for 0.23%). This means that the total number of students achieving good grades or higher was over 70%.

Graduates from Nam Can Tho University are contributing their youth to the development of Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta provinces in general, and are highly appreciated by recruiting agencies and businesses. This shows that the university has earned the trust of  parents, students, and society. The university currently has a student population of more than 23,500 and has over 8,500 graduates, of which over 90% are employed. This human resource has greatly contributed to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region and Can Tho City in recent times.

Recently, teachers and students of Nam Can Tho University have achieved many encouraging results in all fields, creating a solid foundation for the new development phase of the university. In the 2022-2023 school year, the university has invested in perfecting facilities, equipment, teaching materials, laboratory tools, modern synchronous learning, and advanced curricula, to serve the training and, especially, in the field of scientific research in the 4.0 era. A number of projects were inaugurated and put into use this year, such as the DNC Software Development and Application Center, the DNC Multi-functional Sports Area, and the Training Area for infantry combat techniques and tactics (serving to teach the national defense and security to students of the university). The university's lecturers, staff, and management team have developed in both quantity and quality, with an increasingly reasonable structure.

In enrollment and training, Nam Can Tho University implements the admission regulations and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The university's enrollment and training scale has been increasing annually. By 2023, the university had developed multi-disciplinary, multi-system, multi-level training such as 41 full-time university-level majors; six Master's degree majors; one doctoral degree major; and admission of transfer and part-time systems. In addition, the university has cooperated with the Malaysian University of Science and Technology (MUST) to train international bachelors in Business Administration at the university and in Malaysia. The university's 2023 enrollment results have recruited more than 6,000 students. Up to now, the university's total student population has reached more than 23,500 students, which is an encouraging and proud achievement. The university has been granted permission by the Ministry of Education and Training to train two new majors including majors of Dentomaxillofacial and Preventive Medicine.
