Inauguration of The Multi-purpose sports area of Nam Can Tho University

INAUGURATION OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE SPORTS AREA OF NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY

On July 7, Nam Can Tho University inaugurated a Multi-purpose Sports Area built on an area of more than 6,000 m2 with a total investment of about 30 billion VND in land and facilities.

Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, said the University’s Multi-purpose Sports Area includes basketball, tennis, badminton, and pickleball courts. This sports area is fully designed and constructed to meet international standards for each sport, promising to bring the most perfect sports experience for lecturers, students, and other athletes.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Multi-purpose Sports Area, Nam Can Tho University also organized friendly tournaments with the following contents: Basketball, tennis, badminton, and pickleball, with the participation of student teams and the University’s partners.

The goal of the Multi-purpose Sports Area is to serve the training needs, strengthen the construction of a system of physical training and sports areas to meet the increasing number of students attending the university, and to serve the needs of physical training for university officials and teachers.

Part of the Multi-purpose Sports Area

After more than 10 years of development, Nam Can Tho University now owns spacious lecture halls, classrooms, laboratories, and practice areas with a total construction area of over 30 hectares. The university has stabilized its operational apparatus and invested in facilities, equipment, and modern laboratories. The university currently has more than 19,000 students and has graduated over 8,000 students, providing human resources for Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.
