Trend of applying 4.0 technology achievements in the automotive industry

GD&TD - On the morning of November 3, Nam Can Tho University organized a scientific conference on the technology of application trends for the Automotive Industry in the context of Industry 4.0.

The conference aims to connect scientists, experts, managers, and people doing research and teaching in the field of automotive and dynamic equipment. The conference received a large number of presenters who are leading researchers, scientists, and experts from institutes and universities, educational institutions, companies, and enterprises in automotive technology, providing training and business in the automotive field.

At the conference, presenters and experts focused on discussing areas such as trends in applying 4.0 technological achievements in the automotive industry, innovative training in the automotive technology industry to adapt to the development of new technologies, applying image processing technology and artificial intelligence on new generation cars, new technology on engines, new materials, new fuels, and exhaust gas treatment as well as vehicle control technology. Especially noteworthy were the presentations by experts from TotalEnergies Vietnam Company, and VEVE Limited Liability Company who presented technology and lubricant products for electric cars, as well as modeling electric car powertrains and dynamics.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, the Rector  of Nam Can Tho University, said: The university has education and training strategies to keep up with the trends of the times, and it is one of the multi-disciplinary universities in the Mekong Delta region that offers training in Automotive Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering.


Nam Can Tho University established the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in 2017 to carry out the task of training undergraduate degrees in the above two majors and a master's degree in Automotive Engineering.

The conference contributes to improving knowledge and promoting learning motivation for students of the university's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, especially the final-year students, who have more important, useful, and practical information to integrate into the production, science and technology activities of the automotive industry.

The leaders of Nam Can Tho University believe that the new knowledge in the conference reports and conference proceedings will be useful documents for students and lecturers of the university. Furthermore, providing economic and technical solutions that contribute to research and development of the electric car industry and technical infrastructure in Vietnam opens up many opportunities, potentials, and strategies for developing the electric car industry, meeting the needs of the world and Vietnam.
