(CT) On November 10, 2023, Nam Can Tho University hosted the international scientific conference "Industrial Revolution 4.0 - Application for Developing a Sustainable Economy and Adapting to Climate Change."

At the conference, experts discussed a wide range of topics related to artificial intelligence, exponential technology, and sustainable digital economic development for the future. They also explored the Industrial Revolution 4.0 as a revolution for everyone, and the digital transformation needs and solutions in the tourism sector in Can Tho City. Additionally, they examined the impact of technology investment on processing and manufacturing enterprises in Vinh Long Province, as well as the role of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in mitigating and responding to climate change. Other topics included the use of open source for environmental sustainability and climate change response, and the application of multi-time Sentinel-1 SAR remote sensing images in creating maps of solid construction structures in the Ca Mau peninsula area, etc.
In particular, presentations were given on a variety of topics by experts from the Malaysia University of Science and Technology. These included knowledge management in the 21st century, with a focus on current trends, developments, and strategies. Other topics covered were renewable energy production and energy efficiency in seaports, which are crucial aspects of Malaysia's maritime industry. Furthermore, the discussion also mentioned the use of certification to enhance the impact of sharing economy platforms in Malaysia.
According to Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, the Rector of Nam Can Tho University, the purpose of the conference was to discuss, share knowledge, and propose solutions for applying the Industrial Revolution 4.0 to promote the development of sustainable economic development and adaptability to climate change. The conference also aimed to motivate students majoring in information technology, network systems, and computer engineering by providing them with important and useful information to enhance their knowledge and career skills, particularly for final-year students.
