NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF CAN THO EXPORT PROCESSING ZONES AND INDUSTRIAL PARKS

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, in order to connect the Enterprise and Labour Management Agency with the Education and Training Institutions for high-quality human resources, the Nam Can Tho University (DNC) and the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks signed a cooperation agrrement.

The content of the memorandum of cooperation between Nam Can Tho University and the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks is as follows:

- Acting as a bridge between DNC and businesses to organize students to practice and undertake internships at businesses operating in industrial zones in Can Tho City.

- Supporting the strengthening of cooperation relationships, connecting information between DNC and businesses in promoting brands and providing quality human resources for businesses.

- Cooperating and coordinating in organizing forums and seminars in the fields of business, commerce, industry, construction, high engineering and technology, food processing and seafood, import and export, and logistics.

Mr. Pham Duy Tin, Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks, said that this is a very important first step in creating a connection between DNC and businesses in Can Tho City for the training and recruitment of quality personnel. It helps to create a supply of qualified laborers with professional qualifications and management skills, as well as timely settlement of demand for labor in export processing zones.

Can Tho Industrial Park has 1,151 ha, of which five industrial parks are operating with more than 41,000 employees. From now until 2025, there will be an additional 900 ha of Industrial Parks. It is expected that the number of employees will increase by tens of thousands, thus inceasing the demand for trained workers.

Dr. Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung, the Chairman of the Nam Can Tho University Council, said that this cooperation would help the DNC to promote human resource training with an orientation, meeting the needs of industrial parks, and promoting the construction of a model "Enterprise in the university."
