NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY AND HUE CENTRAL HOSPITAL COOPERATE IN MANY FIELDS

On July 28th, in Can Tho, a cooperation signing ceremony between Hue Central Hospital, Nam Can Tho University, and Nam Can Tho University Hospital took place.

Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University (DNC), stated: “In the ten years since its establishment, DNC has made great progress. It has stabilized its operational apparatus and invested in facilities, modern equipment, electronic library... for learning and scientific research. There are currently more than 19,000 students studying at DNC and over 8,000 graduates, serving Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta. The DNC has also invested in building the Nam Can Tho University Hospital, which has eleven floors, modern equipment, and a team of medical professionals.”

At the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital, said: “Hue Central Hospital has a history of 129 years and is one of the major hospitals in the country, boasting many modern medical techniques. The hospital has three facilities with 4,500 beds. The cooperation with DNC and Nam Can Tho University Hospital will open up directions for cooperation, training, and medical technology transfer…”

The contents of the cooperation agreement between Hue Central Hospital, Nam Can Tho University Hospital, and DNC are as follows:

- Hue Central Hospital will support human resource training and medical technology transfer for medical staff, doctors, and technicians of Nam Can Tho University Hospital.

- Consultation for remote medical examination and treatment of patients from Nam Can Tho University Hospital in severe and difficult cases within the scope of professional activities of Hue Central Hospital.

- Support and assistance in receiving and treating critically ill patients transferred from Nam Can Tho University Hospital.

- Strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two sides, creating information to connect the DNC, Nam Can Tho University Hospital, and Hue Central Hospital in order to promote the brand and provide quality health human resources for society.

At the signing ceremony, Dr. Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of the DNC Council, said: “This is a valuable opportunity for DNC and Nam Can Tho University Hospital to promote cooperation with Hue Central Hospital in order to train medical personnel and experts in the fields of cardiology, oncology...”
