DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

I. INTRODUCTION

The Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Basic Sciences was one of the natural sciences, carrying out teaching and scientific research in the field of applied mathematics. Teachers in the Department of Mathematics were teachers who loved their profession and they were highly appreciated by colleagues and students.

Some teachers are studying doctoral programs, and some faculty members of the Department of Mathematics in scientific research projects at Nam Can Tho University and participate in many other scientific activities such as compiling curriculum and lecture notes, teaching, and learning. The Department of Mathematics is in charge of teaching the subjects of Advanced Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Mathematical for Economics, Theory of Probability and Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and General Logic.

II. MISSION - FUNCTION

The functions and tasks of the Department of Mathematics are teaching, training, scientific research, and performing other tasks assigned by the University. The Department of Mathematics performs its teaching tasks according to the University's plans.

III. SUBJECTS IN CHARGE

The Department of Mathematics is responsible for teaching students the following subjects:

1. Advanced Math 1

2. Advanced Math 2

3. Linear Algebra

4. Mathematical for Economics

5. Discrete Mathematics 1

6. Theory of Probability and Statistics

7. Probability & statistics in medical

8. General logic.
