Nam Can Tho University was honored to be granted an international standard number for serial publication (ISSN) on July 26, 2017. The Science and Development Economics Journal of Nam Can Tho University is an information channel that publishes scientific research activities of the University and of its cooperation partners in the near future.

International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) is a unique eight-digit number that is used to identify a paper serial publication printed or electronic such as periodicals, monographs, newspapers, newsletters, informational publications, yearbooks, annual reports, conference or conference proceedings, supplements or appendices to serial edition. Many publications are available in both print and electronic formats, so the ISSN classifies them into two categories: the printed ISSN (p-ISSN) and the electronic ISSN (e-ISSN or eISSN). The ISSN system was drafted as an ISO international standard in 1971 and published as ISO 3297 in 1975. ISO TC 46/SC 9 Subcommittee is the governing body for this standard.
