PLAN FOR IMPLEMENTING SCIENTIFIC TASKS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-2024

In order to complete the scientific task assigned by the Chairman of the University Council and the Board of Directors on July 4, 2023, within one year, we must make great efforts, focus all resources on its implementation, and support and share experiences with each other. As the functional department responsible for managing and supporting scientific activities throughout the university, the Department of Scientific Research and International Cooperation proposes the following plan:

1. Textbooks (GTs)

- Read "The Process of Compiling Curriculum..." posted on the website of the Scientific Research and International Cooperation Department at the link below.

- Based on that process and the current staff assigned to write GTs, make a list of GTs to be written and send it to the Scientific Research and International Cooperation Department for synthesis.

- If there are any difficult areas that need to be addressed, please notify us so that we can provide timely support.

2. Scientific research

- The number of registered and approved scientific research projects this year (38 topics) is about 50% higher than last year, demonstrating that you have accumulated a lot of scientific research experience and the scientific research movement is also more vigorous. Therefore, we can promote this spirit to meet the new requirements of the DNC.

- I think the head of the unit should hold a staff meeting to exchange ideas (brainstorming) about "scientific research ideas" in the form of "big topics", determine the goals to be achieved, then move on to the second step: carrying out scientific research activities to achieve those goals. When this step is done, many more specific, small scientific research topics will arise. Hopefully, this will result in many new scientific research topics.

- You can invite students to participate in scientific research activities. The leaders of the DNC have issued numerous documents encouraging students to participate in scientific research. We invite you to read the documents regulating and encouraging scientific research issued by the leaders of the DNC. These documents have been fully posted on the website of the Department of Scientific Research and International Relations at the link below.

As we don't have much time, we would be grateful if you could send us the list of GTs and scientific research topics of your unit before next Saturday, July 15th, 2023, so that we can summarize and support the next steps.

3. International scientific articles

- The completion of the quota of scientific articles will take a long time, as it depends on the review time of the journals. We can't ask them to post quickly to meet the requirements of QS. Our articles must be international in order to be recognized, thus prolonging the waiting time for publication.

- Due to the aforementioned reasons, we must rely on the results of previous scientific research to write articles from now on, but we can't wait for the results of new scientific research conducted this year to write.

- I discussed with Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Phong and asked him to organize a training course on writing scientific articles so that teachers who are not familiar with writing could have the opportunity to learn more.

- Because it is an international article, it must be written in English. If you have difficulty writing in English, you can write in Vietnamese and we will help to translate it into English and format it according to the specific requirements of the magazine you wish to publish.
