In the past few decades, the imaging industry has made great strides. Advances in imaging technology have made medical images more detailed and informative, necessitating a for urgent need a high-quality human increasingly resource. This presents a great job opportunity for graduates of medical imaging engineering in the future.


Medical imaging technology, also known as diagnostic imaging, is an important medical specialty in modern medicine, especially the great application of X-ray Technology, CT tomography, and MRI. Ultrasound images obtained help doctors to know the morphology and structure of the body, leading to quick access to accurate and timely diagnosis.



The Medical Imaging Technology training program aims to train students with the necessary knowledge and skills, specifically:

- Having sufficient knowledge of basic science, basic medicine, technical principles of technology, and specialized knowledge of the discipline to independently and creatively solve problems in the field of medical engineering;

- Performing Technology at different levels in the field of medical imaging, such as X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, and ultrasound; Recording radiation, and radiotherapy, and assisting specialized doctors in performing interventional imaging Technology to ensure accuracy and radiation safety to serve the requirements of diagnosis and treatment for patients;

- Analyzing the technical quality of the photographic film and abnormal expressions on film; coordinating with doctors to perform vascular X-ray Technology and interventional imaging Technology (endoscopic); performing basic medical Technology;

- Participated in the organization and management of a diagnostic imaging department, public health communication, and educational activities.



Graduates of Medical Imaging Technology at the DNC can work in the Diagnostic Imaging Department of hospitals, medical institutes from central to grassroots, centers, and public and private medical facilities.

Upon completing the program of Medical Imaging Technology, students are able to perform all conventional and high-tech X-ray Technology; analyze the technical quality, quality of medical images and abnormal manifestations of medical images, and recommend directions for imaging diagnosis.

In addition, after graduation, students can organize and manage the imaging department and room according to regulations, organize and educate health about the field they are in charge of for patients and the community, and cooperate with colleagues, authorities, and mass organizations to well take care of, protect and improve community health.


- Students who graduate from the DNC's Medical Imaging Engineering program will receive a Bachelor of Science in Radiological Technology.

- The training duration is 4 years, equivalent to eight semesters.

- Upon graduation, students have the ability to pursue Master's and Doctoral degrees in relevant specialties.
