8. Instructions for implementing the program

- Program:

+ The detailed training program of the Medical Laboratory Technology major includes 136 credits. The detailed implementation of the program and supervision of professional quality is directed by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Health.

+ Compulsory program content: Nam Can Tho University directs the Faculty of Medicine to organize and teach the prescribed amount of knowledge.

+ Contents of supplementary knowledge program: Based on the addition of a number of courses in Medical Laboratory Technology and at the same time increasing the duration of some existing medical courses, related to many training disciplines but consider it beneficial to expand the operational capacity of students after graduation. On the basis of approved compulsory credits and approved supplementary knowledge credits, the Faculty of Medicine has compiled a detailed program of subjects and submitted them to the scientific training council and the President of Nam Can Tho University for promulgation for approval.

- Plan to arrange content and time budget:

+ The Faculty of Medicine actively arranges and adjusts the subjects of the semesters and must ensure the logic and systematicity of the training program in order for students to learn basic science, basic medicine preclinical, and preclinical before specialized courses. The Department of Training and Faculty of Medicine will arrange the program and implement it according to the approved detailed program.

- Clinical practice in the community:

+ Practice: Organize laboratories and practice on the basis of Medical Laboratory Techniques according to the standards of the Ministry of Health (medical construction equipment): Laboratory of biochemical and blood gas testing equipment; Department of Hematology and blood transfusion; Department of Microbiology - Parasitology: Department of Anatomy; Using physics and chemistry laboratories; biology; physiological anatomy.

+ Internship: after students have studied basic subjects and related majors. Medical centers and hospitals with testing departments are practical places to practice. The school has signed cooperation contracts with all district general hospitals in Can Tho city; specialized hospitals, hospitals in military health care; medical diagnosis centers, and clinics with function and equipment for diagnosis and treatment.

- Teaching/learning methods:

Appreciate the students' self-study: the lecturer guides the self-study method according to the characteristics of the subject.

Enhance audio-visual means, active teaching/learning methods

Ensure textbooks and references for students

Enhance the effectiveness of practical sessions in the laboratory, practice at medical and pharmaceutical facilities, and practice in the community by assigning lecturers to combine with part-time lecturers at the facility to monitor and supervise activities. of students, organize the final examination of each experimental technique, each professional operation procedure at the institution, and each unit of study.

- Test, exam

Apply the "Regulations on formal university and college training according to the credit system" issued under the Decision of the Nam Can Tho University
