9. INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM
- Program:
+ The full-time medical imaging technology training program includes 136 credits (excluding the content of Physical Education and Defense and Security Education), of which 27 credits are general education, 99 credits of professional education, and 10 credits for Internship, thesis, or alternative subject.
+ Compulsory program content: Nam Can Tho University directs the Faculty of Medicine to organize and teach the prescribed amount of knowledge. The courses in the field of applied science of engineering and technology are taught by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
On the basis of the approved credits, the Faculty of Medicine has compiled a detailed program of subjects and submitted it to the school-level scientific council and the President of Nam Can Tho University for promulgation for implementation.
- Clinical practice in the community:
+ Practice: Organize laboratories and practice on the basis of the Medical Imaging Technology Department according to the standards of the Ministry of Health (medical construction equipment): X-ray equipment room combined with the system film printing system; Technical room endoscopic equipment with sputum suction machine and CO2 pump system; Room for ultrasonic equipment and instruments; Laboratory of biochemical and blood gas testing equipment; Using physics and chemistry laboratories; biology; physiological anatomy. The block diagrams describe the functions of the computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging equipment with the procedure for maintaining, maintaining, and operating the equipment.
+ Internship: Starting from the 5th semester (3rd academic year) after students have studied the basic subjects and related majors. Medical centers and hospitals equipped with medical imaging equipment are practical places of practice. The school has signed cooperation contracts with all district general hospitals in Can Tho city; specialized hospitals, hospitals in military health care; medical diagnosis centers, and clinics with function and equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
- Teaching/learning methods
Appreciate the students' self-study: The lecturer guides the self-study method according to the characteristics of the subject.
Enhance audio-visual modalities, and active teaching/learning methods. Ensure textbooks and references for students. Enhance the effectiveness of practical sessions in the laboratory, practice at medical and pharmaceutical facilities, and practice in the community by assigning lecturers to combine with part-time lecturers at the facility to monitor and supervise activities. of students, organize the final examination of each experimental technique, each professional operation procedure at the institution, and each unit of study. Require learners to fully comply with occupational safety and radiation safety procedures and the order of professional performance.
- Test, exam, and graduation
Applying the "Regulation on formal university and college training under the Credit system" issued under the Decision of the Nam Can Tho University
