CONFERMENT CEREMONY THE ORDER OF THE RISING SUN, GOLDEN RAYS, AND THE NECK RIBBON OF PROF. DR. VO TONG XUAN – RECTOR EMERITUS OF NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY

On April 13, 2022, Nam Can Tho Can Tho University welcomed a delegation of the Consulate General of Japan to award the Order of the Rising Sun, Golden Rays and Ribbons to Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan - Rector Emeritus of Nam Can Tho University.

The medal is awarded to individuals who have made great and outstanding contributions to promoting friendly relations between Japan and Vietnam.

With outstanding activities during the past years, Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan has contributed to promoting the special friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan: Delegate to the National Assembly for 3 consecutive courses: II, III, IV.

- Period from 1982-1997: Vice Rector of Can Tho University.

- Period from December 1999 to November 2007: Rector of An Giang University.

- Period from 1996-2006: Member of the Council for the Title of State Professor of Vietnam.

- Period from 01/2008-2010 General Director of Viet-Phi Agriculture and Fisheries Co., Ltd.

- The period from 2010-10/2013. Rector of Tan Tao University.

- From October 2013 until now: Founding Council, Rector, and currently Rector Emeritus of Nam Can Tho University
