DNC - On December 27, 2022, Nam Can Tho University cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City National Academy of Politics and Region IV Political Academy to jointly organize a workshop "Sharing information on promoting university-level human rights education in Vietnam today.

The workshop was held to strengthen and support the inclusion of human rights in the training program for students and civic education, understanding the importance and purpose of protecting and building human rights today. now. The participation of the Executive Board who spoke at the seminar, Dr. Phan Cong Khanh - Director of the Region IV Political Academy; Dr. Tran Huu Xinh – Vice-rector of Nam Can Tho University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuong Duy Kien - Director of the Institute of Human Rights, Standing member of the Executive Board of the project shared experiences and lessons on human rights at the workshop.

At the workshop, delegates from universities, in turn, shared their research on human rights generally and human rights education in particular including Dr. Vo Thi Phuong Uyen - Department of Administrative Law, Faculty of Law, Can Tho University talked about: "Content, teaching methods of human rights subject at the Faculty of Law, Nam Can Tho University". Dr. Truong Chanh Duc - Region IV Political Academy gave a presentation: "Discussing some methods of teaching human rights in higher education institutions and graduate schools". Mrs. Nguyen Mong Cam (MSc) - Deputy Head of the Law Department, Faculty of Law, Nam Can Tho University shared the content: "Access to human rights in teaching for students of Nam Can Tho University". Another very good comment from Dr. Dang Viet Dat - Faculty of State and Law, Region IV Political Academy: "Human rights education in the advanced training program on political theory at the Region IV Political Academy”.

The program took place with enthusiasm with research papers with many practical values for people. The use of human rights has always been a concern for the Party and State, focusing on linking human rights with personal interests for the country's strong development. Continuing the discussion with delegates Dr. Tran Le Dang Phuong - Faculty of Law and Political Science, An Giang University, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City with the topic: "Promoting human rights education at higher education institutions in the trend of international integration, situation, and solutions".

Following the special contents of the workshop was the exchange, raising the views on human rights from representatives of universities and participating agencies. Exchange with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuong Duy Kien - Director of the Institute of Human Rights, Standing Member of the Executive Board of the Project, and was asked about the quality as well as any meaningful lessons in the workshop held today. To answer this question, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuong Duy Kien said: “This was a very successful workshop, well organized from everything in this hall with many very good comments from the participants. delegates, the meaning of human rights, is always oriented towards the value of sharing compassion with each other, in education management, it is always necessary to protect, respect, and prohibit violations of human rights in accordance with the law, that is an indispensable and very important requirement”.

The workshop contributed much valuable humanitarian information, putting human rights as a top priority, deeply aware of the importance of protecting human rights in today's society.
