On the afternoon of June 5th, Nam Can Tho University held a partnership signing ceremony with The Vietnam Medical Educations (VMED) organization from India, focusing on training international medical students.

This event marks a significant milestone in strengthening and fostering long-term cooperation in education, training, and healthcare between Nam Can Tho University and international partners, including VMED India. The agreement involves consulting on overseas study services and training international students from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Middle East, and other countries in health programs authorized at Nam Can Tho University.
Nam Can Tho University and VMED Leaders Sign the MOU Agreement
In 2024, Nam Can Tho University and VMED will launch the first batch of the medical doctor training program for 150 international students. Students will begin their studies and practical training from the first year within the Nam Can Tho University ecosystem, including the Nam Can Tho University Hospital and affiliated units. Students with a strong English foundation are encouraged to join this program.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, expressed gratitude to VMED India for choosing Nam Can Tho University as a partner in Can Tho City and expressed confidence in the strong collaboration between the two parties in the future.
Mr. Srinesh Vallabhaneni, Director of VMED, expressed his hopes that this partnership will provide learning and cultural exchange opportunities for students from both Vietnam and India. He also anticipates that the collaboration will attract more international students from Central Asia and the Middle East to study and conduct research at the university.
