1. INTRODUCTION

The DNC Software Development and Application Center was established under the decision number 26/QD-CTHDT-DHNTC on February 22, 2022 by the Chairman of the University Council of Nam Can Tho University.

2. FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

2.1 Functions

The DNC Software Development and Application Center is a technology research and transfer unit in the field of Information Technology.

2.2 Tasks

The main task of the DNC Software Development and Application Center is to serve the digital transformation of the university, as well as the development of training programs with increasing scale and diversity in the university. At the same time, it aims to create a modern teaching and learning environment and to establish a research and application environment that combines theory with practice in the field of Information Technology. The center aims to create technology and software products to meet the needs of IT students for learning and practice. Additionally, it also aims to provide technology and software products to meet the needs of consumers in the market. The center offers short-term courses for students to improve their skills in the IT field, particularly in AI and IoT, before graduating.

4. DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION

With the enterprise university model of Nam Can Tho University, the DNC Software Development and Application Center operates under the orientation of the University Council and the Rectorate as follows:

• Serve the best for the university's digital transformation efforts.
• Develop IT products and software: The center will continue to research and develop IT products and software to meet the needs of students, the university, and the labor market.
• Strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign partners: The center will continue to expand cooperation with domestic and foreign partners to update and apply new technologies, improve training and production capacity.
• Create favorable conditions for students during study and internships: The center will continue to support students during their study and internships by investing in facilities and equipment, creating conditions for students to participate in extracurricular activities, and improving their soft skills and professional capabilities.
• Create a professional, creative and united working environment: The center will create a professional, creative and united working environment for its staff and programmers to maintain a professional and innovative spirit and aim towards the center's common goals.

Collaborate with the Faculty of Information Technology to select scientific research topics and implement them to develop products that meet the requirements of the university and the labor market. With the investment and support of the University Council and the leadership of the Rectorate, as well as the efforts of the Center's staff, in the near future, the DNC Software Development and Application Center will become a reliable address for software development and application, serving the strong and solid development of the university and the Mekong Delta region.
