NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY

I. INTRODUCE

   The Student Association of Nam Can Tho University was established under the Decision No. 105-QD/HSV dated April 4, 2018 of the Executive Board of the Student Association of Can Tho City.

II. FUNCTIONS AND MISSONS

   The Student Association of Nam Can Tho University is a organization under the Student Association of Can Tho City with the functions and duties of a Student Association in universities specified  by the regulations of Vietnam Student Association, and at the same time associated with specific tasks directed by the City Student Association Secretariat, the Board of Directors, and the Rectorate Board. The functions and duties of the Student Association of Nam Can Tho University are spacified through the following main tasks:

+ Unite, encourage and help members and students in learning and training, fulfilling the duties of students, contributing to building a strong university.

+ Ideal education, moral tradition, lifestyle and legal consciousness for members and students.

+ Reflecting the needs and aspirations of students; participate in proposing guidelines and policies related to students. Organize practical activities to take care of the material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate interests of members, students and the Association.

+ Unite and develop friendship and cooperation with student organizations, progressive youth and people of countries around the world for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress.

III. PERSONNEL

   In terms of organizational structure, the Student Association has an Executive Board of the Student Association consisting of 29 members, Ms To Thi Ngoc Tram is chairperson, vice president are Mr Pham Vi Khanh and Ms Nguyen Khanh Duyen.

   The Student Association of Nam Can Tho University has affiliated units such as: Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Ca Mau,… English Club, Information Technology Club, Food Technology Club, Charming Student Club, Dancing Club, Music Club, Football Club, Volleyball Club, Tennis Club, Swimming Club, MC Club and Organization events, Scientific Research Club, Startup Club….

IV. ACTIVATIES

    During the past time, the Student Association has always received the close guidance and deep attention of the Party Committee, the University Council, the University Rectorate Board; with the political core role of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; the smooth coordination and dedicated support of departments, faculties, institutes, centers and other organizations in the university; timely and effective direction of the Student Association of Can Tho city and the Vietnam Student Association. The staff of the Association has a high sense of responsibility, solidarity, dynamism and creativity, and at the same time, with the enthusiastic response of a large number of students, the student movement is growing stronger and having a far-reaching influence. build a reputation inside and outside the university.

   The Executive Board of the Student Association of the University received the certificate of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and the Vietnamese Student Association of Can Tho city for excellently completing the Association's work and the Youth Movement over the years.

   The number of association members and students who have won the Association of  Sinh vien 5 tot (student of 5 good points) has continuously increased over the years:

V. ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT

- Topic: “Youth DNC Intelligence - Creative - Integrating And Developing”

- Main mission:

    + Implement projects and youth work to welcome the 4th Congress of the Vietnam Student Association in Can Tho City, term 2023 – 2028.

    + Effectively organize activities to promote creativity of members and students, strengthen volunteering activities, counseling activities, career guidance for students, support activities for student start-ups.

   + Continue to promote and widely spread the “Sinh vien 5 tot” movement among members and students in the coming time.

   + Establishing more affiliated units and academic, gifted, and hobby clubs, helping members and students have more playgrounds for training and exchange.

   + Organize many activities on scientific research for students.
