NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY AWARDED MORE THAN VND 500 MILLION IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO PUPILS IN DAI LOC

 (QNO) – The Dai Loc District People's Committee coordinated with Nam Can Tho University to award scholarships to pupils with difficulties and high achievements in the university entrance exam for the academic year 2022 - 2023.

Nam Can Tho University awarded scholarships to 250 pupils in difficult circumstances, each worth VND 2 million. Doctor - Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung, the son of Dai Hong Village in Dai Loc and Chairman of the Council of Nam Can Tho University, donated an additional 10 scholarships, each worth VND 1 million, for particularly difficult cases. The total value of the scholarships was VND 510 million.

Nam Can Tho University was established on January 25, 2013. After ten years of development, the university currently has forty undergraduate majors, six master's majors, and one doctoral major.

As a large human resource training facility for the Mekong Delta, the university was recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as one of the top twenty-one star-rated educational institutions, meeting international standards according to the ranking system UPM four-star standard, and having international training cooperation in Southeast Asia.

For pupils from Quang Nam who pass the entrance exam to Nam Can Tho University, they will receive tuition exemption, dormitory exemption, the best conditions, and job orientation after graduation.

It is known that every year, Nam Can Tho University deducts VND one billion for studious pupils from Quang Nam province and prioritizes VND 500 million in scholarships to send to Dai Loc hometown.
