Department of Political Education and Student Affairs

Function:

This department consults with the Board of Rectors regarding extracurricular programs for students. It seeks to serve the well-being of student through governing and supporting students’ activities.

Duties:

  • Receiving students who admitted into the university according to the regulations of Ministry of Education and Training and the rules of the university; arranging students and assigning the staff of the class (class president, class vice president) in the first course.
  • Organizing the education of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle for students.
  • Planning and organizing the weekly schedule of university life.
  • Coordinating with the Youth Union and other functional units to support the establishment and operation of students’ clubs and other off-campus activities.
  • Receiving, arranging and supervising the students living in the dormitory.
  • Coordinating with the Office of Academic Affairs to provide the student cards for the new students.
  • Coordinating with functional units to implement  policies of the government and the university that regulate for students such as scholarships, tuition, welfare, insurance, credit, training and other benefits related to the students.
  • Coordinating with other functional units to create opportunities and facilities for student to play sports and to do other physical activities.
  • Coordinating with the Office of Academic Affairs and other functional units to monitor and evaluate the learning and training of students; organize competition and reward for communities and individual students who have high achievements in education and training; take discipline for students who violate the rules and regulations.
