Call for papers International Conference “Sustainable Tourism Development Adapting to Climate Change in the Context of Globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution”

       Dear experts and researchers,

     The Organizing Committee of the Conference cordially invites experts and scientists from domestic and foreign training and research institutions, agencies, and enterprises to participate in writing papers for the international scientific conference with the theme of "Sustainable tourism development adapting to climate change in the Context of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution", as follows:

1. Time and place of the conference:

     - Time: March 15, 2024 (tentative)

     - Venue: Nam Can Tho University, Can Tho City, Vietnam

     Address: 168 Nguyen Van Cu (ext.), An Binh ward, Ninh Kieu dist., Can Tho City, Vietnam

2. Conference topics:

     - Developing sustainable tourism to adapt to climate change; trends of green tourism and responsible tourism development; issues of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting tourism resources and the environment, etc.

     - Tourism development trends under the impact of globalization and Industrial Revolution 4.0; applying information technology for digital transformation in tourism, developing smart tourism, virtual reality tourism, and online tourism; tourism development in the context of globalization and regionalization; etc.

     - Potential and strengths of Vietnamese Mekong Delta tourism; Sustainable tourism development adapting to climate change in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta; Vietnamese Mekong Delta tourism in the context of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR); Digital transformation of Vietnamese Mekong Delta tourism; regional linkages and international cooperation in tourism development in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta, etc.

     - Human resources in tourism development; Impact of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution on tourism training; Connection between colleges and businesses in tourism human resource training; Domestic and international cooperation in tourism training, etc.

     - And other related issues.

3. Article writing format

     Articles should be written in either Vietnamese or English in the form of scientific articles, with a maximum length of 10 pages of A4 size. Font: Times New Roman; size: 12; top, bottom, and left margin: 3.0 cm; right margin: 2.5 cm; single line spacing, spacing between paragraphs is 6 pt. The name of the figure should be placed at the bottom, the name of the table should be placed at the top, and the figure and table must be numbered ordinally. The title of the article should be bold, size 14. The authors’ full names, office addresses, and the main author’s contact phone and email are clearly stated under the title. The articles should have abstracts in English (5 - 10 lines) and keywords (3 – 5 words). The list of references should not exceed 10 documents.

4. Publication

     - All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (with an ISBN index). From theses, high-quality articles will be selected to be published in the special issue of the Scientific Journal of Nam Can Tho University (with an ISSN index).

     - Outstanding articles will be selected and presented at the conference.

5. Important timelines:

     Deadline for abstract submission:                        September 30, 2023

     Full-text submission deadline:                             November 15, 2023

     Notice of review results:                                      January 15, 2024 

     Deadline for submission of revisions (if any):     February 15, 2024
