Admission Requirements

Admission criteria at Nam Can Tho University are based on regulations of Ministry of Education and Training as well as the rules of the university.

In general, admissions decisions are based on either a high school transcripts or on the results of the high school graduation exam.

 

1. Admission on the high school transcripts

  • The study records of high school years (grade 10, 11 and 12) will be considered.
  • A minimum final overall average of 60% (GPA 6/10) is required for the university programs.
  • The high school diploma is required for the programs at college level.
  • There are three periods for admission based on high school transcript:

         - January 19th – March 14th     

         - April 16th – May 31st 

         - April 16th – May 31st 

 

2. Admission on the result of high school graduation exam

  • The admission bases on the result of the graduation exam from high school.
  • For each program, overall average scores of three specified courses (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Informatics, etc.) will be examined.
  • The application process and deadline prescribe to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
  • The admission period of year 2016: from August 1st, 2016 to October 20th, 2016.

 

Important information

- For each program, a minimum grade in the required courses is specified.

- For all programs, the admission criteria may vary from year to year depending on the number of applications.

- Higher averages are required for admission to programs where demand exceeds the number of places available.

- A high school diploma or equivalent must be submitted when you are admitted to the university.
